I enjoyed reading this book, given that i am interested in the topic. However, i saw significant similarities with the work of the german philosopher hegel. Hegel, in his book " the phenomenology of the mind", talks about the human psych and describes it in terms of Master and Slave modes. In this book, the author described it as system 1 and system 2, different names for the same thing. I was surprised with the absence of any reference to Hegel's work, especially that the author is a nobel decorated scientists/academic. I hope im wrong. I cant imagine an author with his status making such an academic error.
