Thinking, Fast and Slow

The author offers some rather mind-boggling observations, and you get hooked.
THEN you start noticing that he makes huge, sweeping statements of fact with absolutely no objective support. He just blows a bunch of smoke and moves on, leaving the reader blinking in his editorial wake. What he says is interesting and thought-provoking. I just wish he'd offered more rational support for his statements than "Because I said it in print." That doesn't cut much argumentative mustard for other scholars or critical laypeople.
Some parts are flat-out silly in their pretension. He's got a good mind and he's trained it well.....but a touch of humility would make him a more credible scholar.
