did not like it

I just can't make myself finish this book. I think it has some great ideas, but it is so very boring. The examples seem trite, and I am finding myself getting cranky because I'm reading it. I wanted to like this much more than I did.

Noel Arnold Wow, this is my bf's favorite book in the last few years. Maybe it'll be too dry for me, too. How far in did you make it?

Dylan I made it about half way through. I read his papers, and found those to be more interesting. My main complaint was that I felt he was talking down to his readership. After all of his examples, he would write something to the effect of, "And you totally thought THIS!" My brain might be weird, but most of the time, I didn't think the way he thought I should. It got annoying. I wish I liked his writing better, because I really do think his ideas are valid, he was just so smug about them.
