Around chapter 7, Kahneman veers off to discuss Gilbert's work in a work called How Mental Systems Believe where he says simply trying to comprehend an idea constitutes belief. Gilbert's paper is free online. To me, the implication is a marketer can not ask a question of a customer without bias.

I love when academics bring their niche of specialized knowledge to the masses. The book is about his and Tversky's research (and others) on decsion making: automatic, effortful and their interrelationships. I'm already fairly certain Scoopy operates on auto-pilot for every decision she makes. It should be a fun read.

ps I'm using Goodreads as a way to keep notes, let others write reviews.
