This book was repetitive and tedious. I had to read it for a course, and I would definitely not have bothered otherwise.
Within the first part of this book you've experienced all there is to experience.
Kahneman goes through this book repeating the same theories in different ways again and again. Every now and then there will be a brief interlude of him bragging about his Nobel Prize or some other research he did that doesn't fully apply.
This book got off to quite a bad start with me as it is 100% directed at Americans. I felt like many of the examples just confused the points more as they were based on knowledge that I, as an Australian, do not have just generally. He also frequently gives an example of an effect and then says "You thought this". A majority of the time though I did not think what he claimed, making me frustrated at the writing and the theory he then presented.
I feel like this book was very much a cocky piece of writing in which the author frequently claimed that as a population we're pretty stupid.
I can understand this was not his intention, but it came across that way.
If you do want to read this book, I suggest a brief skimming of the conclusions section in the back. Otherwise it's probably not worth your time.
