Remarkable and very informative book.

One of the more consequential books I have read in a while. Although it's structure won't appeal to those who like scientific findings presented in story-like fashion (i.e., in the style of Malcolm Gladwell or Michael Lewis), the book's message more than makes up for whatever shortfall exists in the presentation. As I see it, the book's message is that there are so many repeated examples of how human's don't behave rationally as to question whether we should trust much of what we or others say or do without first taking the time to fully analyze the facts ourselves. Although I just completed the book, I can already tell it's causing me to think before I speak to a greater extent than before. Likewise, I'm also less prone to accept as truth much of what popular culture and science presents as fact. For someone like me, who tends to place a premium on accuracy, this is an important step forward... especially in a world increasingly inundated with fake news. 

Thinking Fast and Slow is a great book for those who are interested in understanding how we make decisions, both good and bad, and want to improve their decision making process.
Kahneman divides the decision making mind into two “systems.”
System 1 is the fast way of thinking, which is more intuitive and emotional (sort of like that mythical entrepreneur Eric Ries talks about in The Lean Startup).
System 2 is slower, more deliberate, and more logical (in the way Michael Gerber in The E-Myth Revisited says small business owners need to be).

This book alternately amazes you at the speed and complexity of the human mind, and terrifies you at how flawed our thinking can be. I found this book very useful and I already used it to give a cab driver a tip on when to go to city hall to contest something (basically after they have recently had breakfast or lunch). I don't think critical thinking is taught enough at school or at home, and this book is an important contribution to that topic from one of our best thinkers. 

Kahneman (and Tversky) are to behavioral economics what Napoleon Hill was to the psychology personal achievement – founding fathers. This book establishes the foundation of modern behavioral economics for generations to come, and is the to-go-to reference for anyone who wants a better understanding of consumer behavior and decision-,making process. This book was very revealing and helpful to me, and I referenced it a few times in my book – Money Anxiety – how financial anxiety impacts consumer behavior and the economy, which is also on Google Play

This books creates a whole new way of thinking about Decisions we make and what makes us as humans, so human. it is relevant to anyone who is interested in the human thinking machine. Specifically this is a must for professionals in the area of Marketing and Product Management. This book explains many of the things we know, but also helps us become better at what we do.
